This Day That Age
The electrification of the railway line up to Villupuram will be completed by the beginning of 1959, said Mr. T.A. Joseph, General Manager, Southern Railway, at a press conference in Madras on September 19. The suburban electric service will be extended up to Chingleput after that period while the main line trains will run by electric traction up to Villupuram.
