This Day That Age
Sardar K.M. Panikkar has been appointed India's new Ambassador to France, an Indian Embassy announcement in Paris said. He succeeds Sardar H.S. Malik, who has held the post for seven years. Mr. Panikkar (61) was Ambassador to China from 1948 to 1952 and later Ambassador to Egypt.
