Road safety is one of the most serious concerns all over the world. Lack of awareness of road safety among road users is cited as one of the major causes for increasing accidents. The National Transportation Planning and Research Centre (Natpac), as part of its efforts to promote safe driving practice and to create awareness of road safety among schoolchildren and three wheeler drivers in the State, has come up with two documentary films. Directors C.P. Padmakumar and Venu Nair have produced the 18-minute documentary films, which depict many issues that result in accidents and lists out steps to check them, Chief Project Coordinator V. Rajagopal said. The film will be screened before an invited audience on Friday at the Sasthra Bhavan here.
