The idols for the puja will be brought to the city from Padmanabhapuram in a procession beginning on Wednesday. The procession will have stopovers at Kuzhithura and Neyyattinkara. The idol of Saraswathi Amma will be kept at the Navaratri Mandapam, Subramania Swamy at the Aryasala temple and Munnoottinankamma at the Chenthitta temple to conduct pujas for the next 10 days. A nine-day music festival will also be held at the Navaratri Mandapam as part of the event. A press note issued by the Navaratri Trust here on Tuesday said the public would be allowed to view the idol at specified times during morning, evening and night. Devotees can make special offerings to the deity at this time. Music lovers can enjoy concerts by their favourite singers at the mandapam.
