KOLKATA: Border Security Force (BSF) authorities have asked the Bangladesh Rifles (BDR) to explain how two Pakistani terrorists were able to sneak into the State without its knowledge. BDR officials have admitted the infiltration of the Jaish-e- Mohammad men on August 14 after which they were intercepted and arrested by the BSF at Hingalganj in the State's North 24 Parganas district, BSF's Inspector General (South Bengal Frontier) Somesh Goyal told The Hindu here on Tuesday. The BSF has also sought information from the BDR on whether the terrorists were operating in that country and if any preventive measures had been taken against them. Senior officials of the two forces met here on the first day of their three-day high-level conference in the course of which issues including militancy, illegal immigration, human trafficking and crime along the Indo-Bangladesh border are expected to be taken up. The BSF authorities handed over to the BDR officials a list of wanted men who might have sought shelter in Bangladesh.
