Title for St. Joseph's

TIRUCHI: St. Joseph's College (Tiruchi), with an all-win record in the league stage, won the title at the Bharathidasan University inter-zonal basketball tournament here on Tuesday.

Adaikalamatha College (Thanjavur) took the second spot with two wins, while Jamal Mohammed College (Tiruchi) finished third with a solitary win.

The results (league): St. Joseph's 57 (Sriram 11, Nataraj 9) bt Adaikalamatha 47 (Sai Muthukumar 20, Senthil Kumar 12); Jamal Mohammed College 50 (Bhagyaraj 12, Santosh Kumar 11) bt AVVM 27.
