Indo-Kazakh team scales Mount Nun

NEW DELHI: A joint Indo-Kazakh army mountaineering team has successfully scaled Mount Nun, about 80 km from Kargil.

In the first attempt, eight members scaled the peak and in the second, six Indians reached the summit. A third attempt would be made on Thursday. The team is led by Lt. Col. A. B. Goth, former Vice-Principal of Himalayan Mountaineering Institute, Darjeeling.
