An evening of melodies
`Rasikapriya', a talent promotion group of Carnatica, which is a music organisation founded by vocalists S. Sowmya and K.N. Shashikiran, will make a thematic presentation `Raga Sangamam'.
The presentation will be a rainbow of 58 melodies in Carnatic, devotional, Hindustani and vintage film genres.
It will be presented by classical and playback musicians, including M. Balamuralikrishna, R. Suryaprakash, V. Pradeep Kumar and Saindhavi on Wednesday at 5.45 p.m. at the Mylapore Fine Arts Club auditorium.
The event is being conducted to mark the 58th foundation day of Sri Krishna Sweets.
An interesting feature of the evening will be `Carnatic Vikatam', a medley of 58 musical jokes presented by Sai Narasimhan. The event is open to all music lovers and art patrons.
