Three murdered

Staff Reporter

BANGALORE: Three people were murdered in as many incidents in the city since Monday night. The police said a four-member gang stabbed Nagaraj (26), an autorickshaw driver, to death in Adugodi police station limits around 9.30 p.m.

Nagaraj was returning to his Wilson Garden house when the incident occurred.

According to Deputy Commissioner of Police (South) Alok Kumar, the murder was the result of a financial dispute. The Adugodi police were investigating the case.

In another case, Mohan (53), a real estate agent and a timber merchant, was hacked to death allegedly by his brother, Murugan, in Kattriguppe in Banashankari police station limits. The Banashankari police have arrested Murugan.

Murthy (38), a painter, was bludgeoned to death allegedly by his foster brother, Subramani, near Binny Mills Quarters off Binnypet on Monday night.

The police said Subramani was living with his mother Anandi. Murthy, Anandi's foster son, was staying in a shed next to Subramani's house. Murthy wanted a share in a property owned by Anandi, which Subramani had denied. Murthy quarrelled with Anandi on Monday. This irked Subramani and led him to bludgeon Murthy.
