Law lecture series from Saturday

Kochi: A law lecture series organised as part of the golden jubilee of the Kerala High Court will begin on September 23.

Governor R.L. Bhatia will inaugurate the series. Senior Supreme Court lawyer K.K. Venugopal will deliver the first lecture on the challenges faced by the legal profession, Justice A.K. Basheer, Chairman, publicity committee, said. The lectures would be held on September 30, Octobter7, 14, 21 and 28.

The valedictory of the celebrations would be held on November 5 at which the Supreme Court Chief Justice, Chief Minister and Opposition leaders and eminent lawyers would participate. An exhibition on various aspects of the judiciary would be held from November 1 to 5 at the Ram Mohan palace.
