New Delhi:
The Supreme Court on Wednesday permitted State Cricket Associations of Bihar and Jharkhand to vote in the elections to the Board of Control for Cricket in India on September 27. It also stayed all proceedings pending before the courts in Chennai, Ranchi and Patna relating to the elections. A three-judge Bench comprising Justices B.N. Agrawal, P.P. Naolekar and Lokeshwar Singh Panta passed this order on appeals filed by the BCCI and Bihar Cricket Association headed by Railway Minister Lalu Prasad against a Jharkhand High Court decision.
The Bench modified the High Court order and allowed both the BCA and the JSCA to vote .
