Legislation on micro finance institutions

NEW DELHI: The Central Government is likely to introduce a legislation to regulate micro finance institutions (MFI) in the winter session of Parliament.

"The draft [on micro finance] is ready... In three months, it is likely to be put before Parliament,'' the Banking Secretary, Vinod Rai, said at a CII seminar on micro-finance here on Wednesday.
