Hyderabad: Two special gestures by the Hyderabad Cricket Association marked the prize distribution function of the all-India Moin-ud-Dowla Gold Cup invitation cricket tournament at Rajiv Gandhi International Stadium (Uppal) here on Wednesday. HCA secretary N. Shivlal Yadav announced Rs. 10,000 cash incentive for Mithali Raj, captain of the Indian women's team after a successful tour of England recently. HCA also announced Rs. 75,000 as cash incentive to the Hyderabad team (joint-winner with Chemplast) in addition to the prize money of Rs. 75,000 as its share. Brig. D.S.C. Varma, Commander, Andhra Sub-Area, Secunderabad, gave away the prizes and the incentives. He lauded the efforts of HCA in constructing a "truly World-class stadium in Uppal". HCA vice-presidents S.L. Venkatapathi Raju, M.V. Sridhar, Dharamchand Jain and M. Narender Goud and D.S. Chalapathi, joint secretary, also spoke . Yadav said that by next season the stadium should be complete in all aspects. He thanked India Cements for sponsoring the Moin-ud-Dowla Gold Cup this year too.
