Hundreds submit applications

MADURAI : Hundreds of aspirants aiming to join service in government schools as teachers have submitted their applications for the Teachers' Recruitment Board (TRB) examination to be held in the State on November 5.

The office of the Chief Educational Officer here is witnessing bustling activity as application forms for the examination are being issued for a week now.

Officials in the School Education Department said on Wednesday that so far more than 3,600 application forms were sold in the district and majority of the candidates had submitted filled-in forms.

The TRB is holding a written examination to recruit graduate assistants/language pandits for various subjects in government middle, high and higher secondary schools.
