Three-member Parliamentary committee visited Chennai

Chennai
: A three-member Parliamentary committee visited Royapuram, Otteri and Mandaveli on Wednesday to review projects taken up with the local area development funds of Rajya Sabha members.
The team, headed by Karnataka MP K. Rahman Khan, first reviewed the construction of additional classrooms and a library in the Government Polytechnic College, Otteri. The project cost of Rs. 2.5 crore will be met by the Central Chennai MP's fund.
The committee also reviewed a Rs. 10 lakh library project in St. Peters High School, Royapuram. This is from the North Chennai MP's fund. In Mandaveli, the committee looked at the building of new shelters for passengers in the bus terminus.
Andhra Pradesh MP M.V. Mysura Reddy and Bihar MP Rajniti Prasad were part of the committee.
