Cyberabad Security Council seeks standardisation of infrastructure on important roads

  • Joint command centre with communication systems and e-mail facility to be set up
  • Quick response team to be formed with APSP, security agencies, Cyberabad police and IT companies

HYDERABAD: To counter the threat perception to IT/ITeS establishments in the city, the recently formed Cyberabad Security Council has decided to seek standardisation of infrastructure on all the important roads of Madhapur and Gachibowli areas.

The council has decided to set up a joint command centre with communication systems and e-mail facility for functioning as a single window service point for police, bomb squad, fire services, ambulance, security, patrolling and other agencies. A quick response team would be formed with APSP, security agencies, Cyberabad police and IT companies while 24-hour vehicle check points have already been made operational.

The council has been set up recently with Cyberabad Police Commissioner M. Mahender Reddy as honorary chairman, APIIC chief engineer D. Pardhasaradhi Rao as honorary vice-chairman and Softpro Systems Limited executive director A. Mallikarjuna Rao as member-secretary besides representatives of various IT/ITeS companies as members.

It would start functioning from Mindspace on the premises spared by Raheja IT Park shortly.

    User charges

In a press release, Mr. Mallikarjuna Rao said the council has decided to levy user charges for the services it offers to companies located in Madhapur and Gachibowli while all other IT/ITeS companies located elsewhere could avail specific services free of charge.
