Kochiites, who have come across the name `Kanayannur Taluk Office,' have long wondered where this place was. The name, handed over from the days of the erstwhile principality of Kochi, stayed. At last, the authorities have decided to rename `Kanayannur Taluk' as `Ernakulam Taluk.' The name will change in all Revenue documents.
