Bidar: The Bidar City Municipal Council (CMC) has registered a criminal case against a person who forged documents to claim that he owned a land that belonged to someone else. CMC Commissioner H.R. Prasad has registered a complaint against M. Mohammad Quaza, who had tried to take over the land of a dead person by creating false documents. Details of the property were fraudulently entered in the CMC's property register. "This is a criminal conspiracy to grab land belonging to bona fide owners. This will be strictly dealt with," Deputy Commissioner Munish Moudgil said in a release. Cases were registered against Mohammad Quaza under various sections of the Indian Penal Code. An investigation has been ordered to find out if CMC employees had colluded with him, the release said. In a similar case, the Bidar police arrested a person who had created false documents to take over eight acres of land in Aliabad village. The Bidar Tahsildar filed a criminal complaint against Vijay Kumar Sangramappa Gumme of Aliabad village. Cases have been registered against Gumme, the release said.
