Rupee rises further
MUMBAI:
The rupee rose further smartly against the U.S. currency and ended at more than three month high of 45.86/87 a dollar on Thursday due to increased foreign inflows in to the local stock market.
Fall in dollar and weak crude prices also aided the rupee sentiment, dealers said.
In a active trading at the inaterbank foreign exchange market, the Indian unit opened better at 45.91/94 per dollar against Wednesday's close of 45.9650/9750 and after hitting a high of 45.8200, ended at 45.86/87 a dollar, a level not seen after July 16. PTI
