CHENNAI: Southwest monsoon has been active over Telangana and coastal Andhra Pradesh.

Rainfall occurred at most places over Kerala and coastal Karnataka, at many places over coastal Andhra Pradesh, Telangana and at a few places over interior Karnataka and Lakshadweep. Isolated rainfall occurred over Rayalaseema and Tamil Nadu.

Forecast (Valid until Saturday morning): Rain or thundershowers are likely to occur at most places over Kerala and Lakshadweep, at many places over north coastal Andhra Pradesh, coastal Karnataka and Telangana and at a few places over south coastal Andhra Pradesh, Rayalaseema and interior Karnataka. Isolated rain or thundershowers are likely to occur over Tamil Nadu and Pondicherry.
