THIRUVANANTHAPURAM: The TIME is conducting two inter-school science quizzes - one for students of classes IX and X and the second quiz for students of classes XI and XII here later this month.

Cash prize

The first quiz will be conducted at Sarvodaya Vidhyalaya on September 27. A cash prize of Rs. 18,000 awaits the winning team.

The winning team from Thiruvananthapuram will join winning teams from 11 other cities for the national finals to be held in Hyderabad in November.

The TIME will bear the expenses related to travel and accommodation of the winning team and one accompanying adult.

Prizes worth Rs. 2.4 lakhs await the winners in the national finals in Hyderabad.

The second quiz will be conducted at Carmel Girls HSS on September 29. For this quiz also there is cash prize of Rs. 18,000.

For both these quizzes a school can nominate any number of teams with two participants each.
