TN beats Kerala
Nagercoil: Tamil Nadu posted a 4-2 victory over Kerala in the five-team league of the South Zone sub-junior National football championship organised by the Kanyakumari District Football Association at the Anna Stadium here on Thursday.
Reagan scored three goals and Vigneswaran scored one for Tamil Nadu. Abypappaiyal and R. Akhil scored for Kerala.
Tamil Nadu and Andhra Pradesh lead the table with 7 points each from three matches and have to play one match each. Karnataka has played only two matches and is in second spot with 6 points, but has to play two crucial matches, against Andhra Pradesh and Tamil Nadu.
The other two teams, Kerala and Pondicherry have lost the race for the title as they have yet to collect a point, with only one match remaining. — Sports Correspondent
