Tushar on song
NEW DELHI: Four goals by Tushar Chaudhary set up The Air Force School's 7-2 win over Vallabh Ashram's MGM Amin and VN Savani School, Valsad in the Group V league match of the Subroto Cup junior football tournament here on Thursday.
Tushar scored in the 14th, 30th, 44th and 57th minutes. Apu Gangmei (23rd and 27th) and Jason Hodan (42nd) were the other scorers for AFS. Sagar N. Patel struck twice for the Gujarat school in the 20th and 40 minutes.
In another match, Tripura Sports HS defeated Bangladesh Krira Shiksha Protishthan, Dhaka 1-0 with Manindra Jamatia scoring in the 54th minute. Milton Gomes's 46th minute goal gave Rosary HSS, Goa a 1-0 win over Jumna Christian Inter-College, Allahabad.
In the final match of the day, Dhondacham HS, Golaghat, Assam played out a goalless draw with Poura Patha Bhaban, West Bengal.
