Chandigarh: Two rare white tigers have died under mysterious circumstances at a zoo in Patiala district. The tiger couple- Saurabh and Diya- died within a short span on Wednesday at Mahendra Chaudhary Zoo. Their bodies were on Thursday sent for post mortem at the Punjab Agricultural University, Ludhiana and the Indian Veterinary Research Institute, Izzatnagar in Uttar Pradesh, Zoo Field Director Dharminder Sharma said. Zoo authorities are flummoxed by the sudden death of the rare tigers. PTI
