PATNA: After taking to task a few districts magistrate for slow progress in preparation of revised Below Poverty Line (BPL) list, Bihar Chief Minister Nitish Kumar on Thursday set September 28 as the deadline for all district heads to send the BPL list to the Government. During review of progress of preparation of revised BPL list with the DMs through video-conferencing, the Chief Minister gave the ultimatum to all the district heads to send the list to the capital by September 28, official sources said.
Irregularities
The Government had ordered revision of the BPL list to rectify the irregularities by deleting names of undeserving beneficiaries and adding those who were left out "due to any reason", the sources said. The revised list would be displayed at panchayats and also would be put up on the State Government's website, the sources said. Mr. Kumar also took stock of progress of other welfare schemes in the districts, the sources said.- PTI
