First phase of allotment over

Students can revise their higher order option list till September 23

THIRUVANANTHAPURAM: In the first phase of online allotment carried out by the Commissioner for Entrance Examinations on Thursday, as many as 18,937 candidates received allotment in various engineering and medical colleges in the State.

The allotment list was published on the web site cee.kerala.gov.in at about 3 a.m. In the medial stream, allotment was done in 3732 seats including 1080 MBBS seats. The total number of seats available in this stream was 3899 including 1126 MBBS seats.

Of the 1080 MBBS seats allotted on Thursday, 536 were in the Government medical colleges and 544, in self-financing colleges. For the B.Pharm programme 605, out of the 619 seats available were allotted this morning.

For the engineering courses, allotment was done for 14,532 seats out of the 15,044 seats available for allotment. For the architecture course, 68 out of the available 71 seats were allotted.

In the Government engineering colleges at Wayanad and Idukki there are branches were no allotment has been made in the general merit category.

By 5 p.m. on Thursday, as many as 6,500 students had remitted fee for various courses in the designated branches of the Canara Bank. The first re-allotment would be done on September 25 by eliminating the names of candidates who do not remit the fee within the stipulated time.

A press note issued here by the Commissioner for Entrance Examinations said the last date for remitting fee would be September 23. Students can also revise their higher order option list till that day, the press note added.
