Ranchi:
Jharkhand Chief Minister Madhu Koda on Thursday left for New Delhi, where he will call on senior United Progressive Alliance leaders who could not be present during his swearing-in ceremony earlier this week. "I am visiting Delhi to formally call on senior leaders of the UPA. It is just a courtesy call," Mr. Koda told presspersons.
Independent MLA
Mr. Koda, an Independent MLA who along with three other Ministers took oath as the head of the UPA Government on September 18, won the trust vote on Wednesday. UPA sources said that though Mr. Koda had dismissed reports of claims and counter-claims over the eight remaining Ministerial berths from among the UPA MLAs, its central leadership might interfere to make things easier.
