Harrowing time for public

It was rain recently and rasta roko the other day that brought traffic to a grinding halt in all the arterial routes. Even before the harassed public could get over the harrowing experience, commuters were caught in a traffic jam at the busy RTC crossroads on Thursday yet again.

It happens with unfailing regularity.

Any issue one has, it is the common public that is taken for a ride — courtesy traffic-stopping demonstrations. Protest is a democratic way of expressing resentment.

But in a city like Hyderabad, does it not amount to criminal offence if rasta rokos happen every second day?

Would the issue, whatever it may be, get the sympathy and support it deserves from the harassed public, caught in those endless traffic jams?
