City book firm bags prize

DELHI AND not Bangalore is usually associated with the publishing of Indian books in English. As a pleasant change, Punya Publishing Pvt. Ltd. of our city has received a prize for excellence in book production from the Federation of Indian Publishers.

The book in question is "The Luminous Sparks" by President A.P.J. Abdul Kalam, a collection of his poems and biographical notes. The matching illustrations from well-known artists, must have made the difference. The award will be presented to Punya Publishing at the Delhi Book Fair, and received by Poonam Kohli, the woman behind the enterprise.
