Seminar

The Guruvayurappan Institute of Management will organise a two-day seminar on Brand management on September 22 and 23.

According to a release, technical sessions at the seminar will cover topics on brand creation, branding strategies, brand value measurement and global brands. The programme will be inaugurated by M.V. Pylee, former vice-chancellor of the Cochin University.

Power shutdown

Arrested

Mohammed Naushad (40) was arrested on Wednesday night at the Coimbatore Airport on the charge of attempting to travel to Sharjah using a fake passport. Inquiries revealed that Naushad, an ex-serviceman, was attempting to leave for Sharjah with a fake passport he had got for Rs 2,500.
