NEW DELHI: A 23-year-old student of a private management institute was allegedly thrown out of a running bus by its conductor at Badarpur in South Delhi on Thursday. While the victim has been admitted to a hospital with head injuries, the bus driver and the conductor have been arrested. According to the police, the incident took place around 7 p.m. when Amit, who studies in Cosmos Management Institute, asked the conductor of a bus plying on route No. 405 to give him a ticket worth Rs. 2. The conductor however asked him to pay Rs. 5 for the distance he had to travel. This led to an altercation between the two, following which the conductor allegedly pushed Amit out from the running bus. Amit sustained head injuries and was rushed to Apollo Hospital. He was later shifted to another hospital.
Case registered
The police recorded his statement after he was declared fit by the doctors, Acting on the complaint, the police have arrested the conductor, Mahesh, and the driver, Ravinder Singh, and registered a case of attempt to murder.
