Staff Correspondent
Manipal: Banking Ombudsman (Karnataka) K.R. Ananda said on Friday that banks should make all efforts to win the confidence of their customers. Mr. Ananda was speaking at a session with the bankers as part of an awareness campaign at the Syndicate Bank Institute of Bank Management here. He said some customers were approaching the Ombudsman because they had no faith in the banks. The banks should have a good grievance redresssal machinery to handle complaints of the customers. Mr. Ananda said he had found that in many cases, the customers and the officials of the banks had not even talked to each other. All the banks should display the salient features of the Banking Ombudsman Scheme in all their branches along with the name and address of the Banking Ombudsman.
