Corrections and clarifications

The strapline in "`Seniority begins only on the day of regularisation'" (September 20, 2006) was: "Only in respect of substantial posts". As a reader points out, it should have been "substantive posts".

A few readers have pointed out that in the report "Locals take up arms to protect [Mughal] road project" (September 22, 2006), a pointer in the infobox was "Military number one threat to the project", while the text said "... militancy was the number one threat to the project". The infobox should have said "Militancy ... ".
