KURNOOL: Trapping of APSRTC Depot Manager Sudarshan here on Thursday night created a controversy as a section of workers threatened to strike work saying that the trap was motivated. Mr. Sudarshan allegedly demanded a bribe of Rs 1,000 for revoking the suspension of a driver Somanna. According to reports, Somanna placed the representation along with the money on the table of the depot manager and walked away. The ACB personnel completed the formalities and arrested the official. This enraged the workers supported by National Mazdoor Union who threatened to strike work. They said it had never happened in the history of APSRTC that a depot manager would demand bribe from a driver. The officers alleged that a disgruntled employee who was suspended for dereliction of duties in the past had engineered the trap.
