CHENNAI: Actors turning directors is not new in Tamil cinema.

M.G. Ramachandran, Kamal Haasan, Nasser, Prathap Pothen, Arjun and even R. Sarath Kumar all turned directors in their time.

Now, another hero who has turned his attention to direction is J. Akash, who has done nearly 25 films.

He has acted in 15 films in Telugu and 10 in Tamil, including `Ramakrishna', `Gurudeva', `Sevvel', `Amuthey', and `Kicha Vayasu 16' with Simran.

His new film, `Madhan' is being produced by Jai Balaji Movie Makers, and J. Akash plays the hero and also directs the movie.

J. Akash says that the movie has three heroines — Tamanna, Sunaina, who was a model, and Sridevika, who is now popular in Kannada.

Sridevika had acted with him in `Ramakrishna'.

Bobby and Funky Pritvi score the music, and Rajesh Yadav handles the camera.

The story is about the three stages of a person's life, from Plus Two to graduation.
