Randhawa keen to return to form

Special Correspondent

NEW DELHI: Jyoti Randhawa is keen to return to form when he tees off in the World golf championship in the company of Tiger Woods, among others, at the Grove Hertfordshire, England, from September 26 to October 1.

Speaking on the sidelines of the launch of the fifth McDowell's Signature Club golf championship here on Friday, Randhawa said, "so far, I've had a mediocre season. But the best part is I am playing well again."

Randhawa, whose last big title was the 2004 Volvo Masters of Asia, said, "I learnt a lot from my first year on the European Tour and managed to keep my card for the next season."

He was optimistic of Arjun Atwal regaining his form on the USPGA Tour. "It is the toughest place to be and not easy to maintain your game. What you think great may not be good enough to make the `cut'."

Randhawa was all praise for Jeev Milkha Singh, the highest ranked Indian at 144 on the World list. "He deserves to be there. Jeev was among those we followed. After winning the China Open, he is a different player," said Randhawa.
