Muzaffarnagar: The Rashtriya Lok Dal on Friday said it would contest 50 seats in the Uttar Pradesh Assembly elections early next year. Announcing this here, RLD general secretary Anuradha Chowdhry said the party has not yet decided on an electoral pact with any other outfit. A decision on any poll alliance will be taken at an appropriate time, she said. Ms. Chowdhry, also the Chairperson of U.P. Irrigation Development and Flood Control Commission, said her party would demand the creation of a separate "Harit Pradesh", during the Assembly poll campaign.
