Shilpi's Navratri Utsav at Sanjeevaiah Park to have hi-tech touch

HYDERABAD: The nine-day Shilpi's Navratri Utsav-2006 beginning on Saturday at Sanjeevaiah Park, Necklace Road, will have a hi-tech touch to it.

For the first time in the twin cities, self-illuminating electronic dandiyas will add glitter to the celebrations, according to Sanjay Jain of Shilpi Events. The event will be on October 1. Dholida Beats from Mumbai will be the highlight of the Gujarati cultural fare.

Those new to Dandiya and Garba can imitate the dance troupe from Mumbai performing dance numbers in the centre in a circle. For details and donor passes, contact on phone nos. 9396202000 or 9396202010.
