KATHMANDU: A private company helicopter carrying 24 persons, a Minister and a Finnish Charge d'Affaires to Nepal among them, is missing since Saturday noon. The chopper is feared to have crashed in the rugged mountains due to bad weather. The helicopter went out of contact a few minutes after it took off, said Chief District Officer of Taplejung district, Hem Nath Dawadi. He said Minister for Forest Gopal Rai, Pauli Mustonnen, Charge d'Affaires, Embassy of Finland, Margaret Alexander, Dy. Director, USAID, Jill Bowling, Conservation Director, WWF UK (Australian), Jennifer Headley, Coordinator, WWF UK (Canadian), Chandra Gurung, Country Representative, WWF Nepal were travelling in the helicopter. Nepal's renowned geographer and former minister Harka Gurung was also on board the ill-fated chopper.
