Coimbatore: The recently launched career portal www.careervarsity.com launched by Bharathiar University is gaining popularity. Till now, nearly 10,000 people have visited the site, said M. Jayakumar, Director, Department of Extension, Career Guidance and Students' Welfare. Colleges affiliated to the university churn out around 35,000 graduates (65 per cent) and post-graduates (35 per cent) every year. The portal would help these college pass-outs get a job of their choice. Final year students of colleges affiliated to Bharathiar University could register in the first division of the portal and employers who wanted to recruit, in the second division.
