Treat for story lovers

CHENNAI: Here's a treat for short story lovers. Makkal Television, a satellite channel, will be telecasting Tamil telefilms based on short stories of renowned writers across the world.

One of Russian writer Anton Chekov's short stories will be brought alive in the first telefilm titled `Thummal' as part of the Tamil programme `Kalathai Venra Kadhaigal' (legendary stories).

Directed by M. Senthamizhan, the telefilm will be telecast on Sunday at 8 p.m.
