TAMBARAM:
The Railway Protection Force has begun spreading awareness of safe travel at suburban railway stations.
At the Tambaram station the other day, a five-member group enacted a skit, which, commuters waiting to board Cholan Express on platform No. 4, watched with great interest.
The RPF has been urging commuters over the public address system at important stations to be careful while interacting with strangers, particularly with those offering to look after their luggage.
While the operation of organised gangs has been eliminated, conmen continue to cheat commuters of their valuables.
The only way to stop such offences is being vigilant, according to RPF officers.
