Court stays deportation of PoK resident

Jammu: The Jammu and Kashmir High Court has stayed the deportation of a resident of Pakistan-occupied Kashmir. Nawab Din, a centenarian, had refused to return to PoK as according to him all his relatives lived on this side of the Line of Control.

During the 1965 India-Pakistan war, he had left his native Budhal area of Rajouri district as skirmishes broke out between Indian and Pakistan forces. Nawab Din found himself in Mirpur district of PoK and could not return to the land of his birth.
