Manmohan calls on Kalam

NEW DELHI: Prime Minister Manmohan Singh on Tuesday called on President A.P.J. Abdul Kalam and briefed him about his recent meeting with Pakistan President Pervez Musharraf in Havana.

Dr. Singh also apprised Mr. Kalam of his recent tour of Cuba and Brazil and his talks there.

The meeting lasted for 30 minutes, a Rashtrapati Bhavan release said.

Mr. Kalam conveyed his heartiest greetings to Dr. Singh on his birthday.

The President told the Prime Minister about his recent visit to Tamil Nadu and Kerala, particularly to Ramanathapuram, Kanyakumari and Tirunelveli districts. He also told Dr. Singh about his visit to Kudankulam Atomic Power Project.
