Thumping win for St. Patric's AIHSS

NEW DELHI: Tamil Nadu's St. Patric's Anglo Indian Higher Secondary School defeated Burn Hall School (Srinagar) 5-1 in the Subroto Cup (under-17) league at the Ambedkar Stadium here on Tuesday.

Rajesh Kumar (two), Sylvester Mennie, Augustine Babu and Wayne D'Silva scored for the winning team. Omair Ashraf netted for the Srinagar boys.

Defending champion Kathmandu's Nobel Academy thrashed Ukhrul School (Manipur) 7-1. Ranjit Shreshtha (2), Roshan Karki (2), Bharat Khawas, Amir Shreshtha and Prabin Karki contributed to Kathmandu's tally. Thotrinchan Keishing scored for the Manipur team.

SAI Eastern Centre (Kolkata) defeated Government Boys School, Dhar, M.P., 3-0. Shyam Bahadur Yadav (2) and Rathin Thapa were the scorers.

In the day's last match, Kuala Lumpur's Victoria Institution downed Kozhikode's Malabar Christian College 3-1. Choi Soon Seng, M.S.B. Zakaria and G. Rohan scored for Victoria while Nikhil Das responded for the Malabar boys. — Special Correspondent
