Sweden stays in World Group

BELO HORIZONTE (Brazil): Robin Soderling defeated Flavio Saretta 6-0, 6-3, 7-6(4) on Monday for Sweden to beat Brazil 3-1 and remain in the Davis Cup World Group.

Soderling justified his standing as Sweden's No. 1 from captain Mats Wilander, and earned his second point of the rain-delayed tie.

``Although I had beaten Flavio twice before, I knew he was very tough to beat especially at home on clay,'' Soderling said. ``But overall I played a great match. I'm so happy.'' — AP
