ACCOLADES GALORE: Three-year-old Navashakti with a shield she has won.
TIRUPATI : What is the distance between Earth and Neptune? What is Japan's currency? Which is the oldest game of the world? These are some questions, which even grown-ups stutter over or take time to answer. But, if you pose the same questions to Ryali Navashakti, pat come the answers. The three-year-old can answer 400 such questions on subjects ranging from science to history, geography to current affairs. Navashakti, an LKG student of Viswam School here, watches nothing but news and sports programmes on television. She then incessantly explains to her mother, Indu, whatever she has learnt. "It was during one such occasion that I came to know that she was no ordinary kid. With the help of my brother and sister, I started nurturing her talent," Indu explains. She can even identify as many as 70 countries in the world map! Shakti is also learning karate and Bharatanatyam now. Navashakti has now set her eyes on the Guinness Book of World Records. Indu is slogging it out to teach her as many new things as possible. Undaunted, the little girl is keen on learning a new thing a day!
