GUNTUR: It will be a direct fight between Sheik Mastan Sharief of the Congress and Mohammed Sheik Shaukat of the Telugu Desam Party in the by-election to the corporator's vacancy in Division No.3 of the Guntur Municipal Corporation on Wednesday. The corporation has made all arrangements for the conduct of election in the ward with the help of electronic polling machines. It fell vacant due to death of sitting corporator Azeez.
Shops to be kept open
Deputy Commissioner of Labour, Guntur, has allowed all shops to conduct business on October 1, 2 and 21, Indian Chamber of Commerce president A. Anjaneyulu said in a release.
