Rajahmundry: With Navaratri celebrations under way, Devi Chowk has become a centre of spiritual activity with `Abhishekam' and `Kumkumarahana' being performed during day and staging of plays including Aadiparasakti, Balanagamma and Satyaharischandra in the evenings. Devi Navaratri Mahotsav Committee headed by its chairman Madireddy Chennakesavarao and secretary Padala Sivaramalingeswararao made arrangements for Navaratri celebrations that began on September 23. A huge setting of `Kailasa Hills' was arranged at the entrance of Azad Chowk road, Mukti Dham temple setting was arranged near the road which leads to Arts College, King's Fort setting was arranged towards Paper Mills road, Lord Venkateswaraswami setting at the road which leads to Main Road via Namah Sivaya road and Ramayana setting at Gokavaram bus stand. The `Satya Harischandra' play by Guntur Sydulu was well applauded by viewers on Monday night. ``Sri Krishna Tulabharam' would be staged on Wednesday night. At Astalakshmi temple, Navaratri is being celebrated in a grand manner.
