Agitating TRS leaders arrested

POLICE ACTION: TRS district convenor and Yellareddy MLA E. Ravinder Reddy being lifted by the police on Tuesday.

NIZAMABAD : Over fifty Telangana Rashtra Samithi (TRS) leaders, including party district chief and MLA E. Ravinder Reddy, were arrested when they were staging a rastaroko at Borgoan bridge on the Nizamabad-Hyderabad road here on Tuesday, demanding the resignation of Chief Minister Y.S. Rajasekhara Reddy for the alleged land scam in the Hyderabad Outer Ring Road project.

As a result, movement of vehicular traffic was affected for 40 minutes. The police failing to prevail upon the protesters to disperse, took the TRS leaders into custody and shifted them to IV town police station. Later, the arrested leaders were released on execution of personal bonds.
